About the Role

We are seeking an intern to join Base’s Business Operations team that focuses on business development, finance, and talent. During your internship you’ll be tasked with important problems for the business and expected to deliver just like any other full-time member of the team.

You’ll be at the center of sourcing and developing new growth-oriented partnerships, conducting financial and operational analysis across the business, and improving key operations to support our growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Generally see no task as too big or too small for you to pursue. Our Business Operations team is lean and has a broad scope; there are many specific opportunities awaiting you if you have a thoughtful and effective approach.

  • Support our relationships and overall offering to existing business partners like homebuilders and utilities.

  • Build analytical tools to understand our operational and financial performance, uncover opportunities for efficiency or growth, and provide visibility to the Base team on critical information.

  • Automate operational processes to more efficiently support our members and deployment growth.

  • Analyze markets for new partnership potential and potential growth vectors.

What You'll Bring

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset; comfort working with modern tools (e.g., SQL, dashboards, CRMs) and rolling up your sleeves when needed.

  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability, grounded in analytical thinking.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Powerpoint/Slides and Excel.

  • Bias toward action and simplification - constantly pushing toward alignment, clarity, and execution on tight timelines.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and effective prioritization in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
