We're seeking a hands-on Director of Marketing to spearhead our growth marketing initiatives as an individual contributor. This role is focused on driving measurable growth through data-driven lead generation and funnel optimization. You'll be responsible for building and executing our entire marketing funnel while maximizing cost-effective lead acquisition and share of voice in our target markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Growth Marketing
Build comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy grounded in hypothesis-based testing methodologies
Develop detailed marketing plans with clear objectives, tactics, and success metrics
Allocate and manage marketing budget across channels and campaigns to maximize ROI
Design and execute testing frameworks to validate marketing hypotheses and optimize resource allocation
Execute growth hacking strategies and tactics to accelerate customer acquisition
Continuously analyze market data to inform strategic decisions
Customer Journey & Funnel Optimization
Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end, multi-channel marketing funnels to drive qualified leads
Map and refine the complete prospective customer journey from initial awareness through conversion
Implement marketing automation strategies to improve lead quality and conversion rates
Build and maintain lead scoring and nurturing workflows
Customer Marketing,Communications, and Events
Design and implement customer marketing campaigns for product releases, feature announcements, and company updates
Own event marketing strategy including webinars, sponsorships, and attendance at trade shows and industry conferences, ensuring a positive ROI.
Build and nurture customer communities through online forums, user groups, and customer advocacy programs to increase engagement and brand loyalty
Collaborate with product and customer success teams to incorporate customer feedback into marketing messaging and campaign optimization
Create and manage regular customer communication programs including newsletters, product updates, case studies, educational content, and company announcements tailored to different customer segments and personas
Brand & Messaging Strategy
Develop targeted brand messaging and positioning for construction, payments, and finance audiences
Create compelling value propositions that resonate with specific customer segments
Ensure consistent brand voice and messaging across all marketing channels and touchpoints
Analytics & Performance Measurement
Establish and track KPIs for all marketing activities; provide regular reporting on lead generation metrics, cost per acquisition, and ROI
Build comprehensive attribution models to understand marketing impact across the customer journey

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of hands-on growth marketing experience with proven track record of driving lead generation
Expert-level proficiency with HubSpot, Linked In and Email automation platforms
Experience building comprehensive marketing strategies with detailed budget allocation and testing frameworks
Demonstrated experience in growth hacking methodologies and tactics
Strong background in digital marketing channels including SEO/SEM, social media advertising, content marketing, and email campaigns
Exceptional quantitative analysis skills with ability to design and interpret complex experiments
Advanced analytics skills with proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and hypothesis testing
Proficiency in Google Analytics, marketing attribution tools, and data visualization platforms
Strong background in customer journey mapping and behavioral analysis
Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM integration
Deep understanding of B2B marketing, ideally in construction, payments, or finance industries
Nice to Have
Experience marketing to construction professionals, accounting, financial services, or payment processing audiences
Knowledge of industry-specific pain points, buying behaviors, and decision-making processes
Familiarity with regulatory considerations in finance and payments sectors
Proficiency in A/B testing tools and conversion rate optimization techniques
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and web analytics implementation

This is a hybrid role that allows for remote work flexibility. Once a week, we get together for in-person team collaboration and a team lunch in our Seattle office.
