Finvari is a fast-growing SaaS startup transforming the way construction companies handle payments. Our mission is to eliminate manual, repetitive payment tasks, empowering construction leaders to focus on building the infrastructure of tomorrow. From field employees to the C-Suite, our customer-centric software streamlines processes, improves efficiency, and drives innovation across the industry.

We're a close-knit, experienced team with a track record of building and scaling successful software companies—some of which have even gone public. At Finvari, innovation, creativity, and customer focus are at the heart of what we do. We're looking for team members who share our passion for problem-solving and want to make a direct impact. Our culture is collaborative, autonomous, and customer-obsessed.

To support our growth, we are hiring a strategic and hands-on CFO. In this role, you will be a core member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, managing capital, and ensuring operational excellence in financial planning and reporting. You’ll work closely with the CEO, founders, and board to provide insights and strategies that guide critical business decisions.

What you’ll do:

Strategic Finance & Leadership

  • Work closely with the executive team to build the company’s short, medium and long term strategy.

  • Identify and measure the key metrics and business drivers that matter, and relentlessly work with senior leaders to operationalize those metrics.

  • Build and lead the finance function, including FP&A, accounting, compliance, bank and financial institution relations, and treasury.

  • Partner with the senior leadership team to align financial and operational strategies.

  • Represent the finance and accounting function with external stakeholders, including auditors, investors, and banking partners.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Own the financial model, budgets, and forecasts to support company-wide strategic planning goals.

  • Optimize, measure and refine capital allocation to meet both growth and cash burn

  • Work with each department to understand strategic options for investment and growth.

Accounting

  • Oversee accounting processes, financial controls, and audits to ensure accuracy

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and a smooth month-end, quarter end and year-end close process.

  • Implement scalable systems and processes as the company grows.

Capital Markets Strategy

  • Lead the sourcing, structuring, and negotiation of credit facilities, including warehouse lines and/or receivable purchase agreements (RPAs).

  • Establish and manage relationships with banks, credit funds, and institutional lenders.

Treasury & Liquidity Management

  • Build and manage cash flow forecasting models to support capital efficiency.

  • Design and implement best-in-class treasury operations and infrastructure.

  • Ensure alignment of liquidity strategy with business growth and capital needs.

Compliance

  • Work with the Chief of Compliance and outside counsel to monitor, interpret, and implement applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.

  • Develop, update, and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory expectations and banking partner requirements.

  • Coordinate with bank partners on monthly compliance reporting, annual audits, periodic reviews, and ongoing due diligence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA Preferred

  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role

  • Extensive finance experience at a VC-backed startup

  • 5+ years of experience structuring, negotiating, and closing warehouse credit lines and/or receivables purchase agreements

  • Strong modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning experience within a SaaS company

  • Deep understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements relevant to fintech

  • Experience with venture capital, investor relations, and board reporting

  • CPA or CFA is a plus

  • Experience in fintech or regulated financial services strongly preferred

Benefits include:

  • 100% premium coverage for employee health insurance premiums and partial coverage for dependents.

  • Health Savings Account with a company contribution

  • Flexible Spending Account Options: Health Care and Dependent Care

  • Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance

  • 11 paid company holidays plus generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy

  • Plus stock options so that you can participate in the company’s success!

This is a hybrid role that allows for remote work flexibility. Once a week, we get together for in-person team collaboration and a team lunch in our Seattle office.
