Legal Risk Compliance at Valon
Valon’s Compliance team is a growing, fast-paced team with a goal of building a mortgage servicing platform that both empowers mortgage servicing and MLOs to focus on providing exceptional services and also delivers a phenomenally transparent product experience to homeowners. As a Senior Audit and Exam Coordinator at Valon, you will support the audit and exam functions for Valon’s servicing business area.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Audit and Exam Coordinator to join our Legal Risk Compliance team. In this role, you'll work closely with our business partners in Lending & Servicing to drive the oversight functions, including coordination of state exams, external audit reviews, and testing results. You will also own the change management review as it relates to findings due to state and external audits. Our team is made up of passionate and critical thinkers who are navigating multiple facets of the Mortgage Lending & Servicing sectors within a fast-growing technology and operations-focused business line. Responsibilities
- Own and become the go-to resource for end-to-end audits and exams management
- Monitor to resolution any audit findings and design testing to validate resolution status
- Review and reconcile exam questions as they arise
- Assist where necessary on all audit and exam requests
Ideal Background
- To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 5+ years of mortgage experience (servicing or lending)
- Experience with Jira preferred, but not required
- Understand state and investor audit requests and be able to respond to audit requests
- Have a working knowledge of servicing and lending rules and regulations
- Ability to own the second level review for audits and be the responsible party for submissions
