Valon Technologies
About the Company
Valon’s mission is to empower every homeowner. We believe the journey of home ownership starts when you get your keys, but lasts far beyond. We’re creating a world where home ownership comes with ease, security, and financial know-how. Our growing team of engineers, operators, product enthusiasts, and experienced servicing professionals are leveraging technology to fundamentally improve the homeownership experience. Through mortgage servicing—the process of paying off one’s mortgage—Valon is taking the first step in transforming the industry one homeowner, and lender, at a time.
The Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and people-focused Workplace Experience Manager to make our San Francisco office an inspiring, energizing, and seamless place to work. You’ll own the day-to-day workplace experience — from keeping the office humming to designing memorable events — and be the first point of contact for basic in-person IT support (like helping someone connect to Wi-Fi, setting up monitors, or troubleshooting a conference room AV issue).
This role blends hospitality, operations, and event planning — perfect for someone who loves to create delightful experiences and thrives on making spaces and moments that connect people.
This is an onsite role, averaging 20 hours per week, with flexibility on the exact daily schedule. Some events may require occasional evening or weekend hours (with advance notice).
What You’ll DoOffice Operations & Environment
- Keep our SF office running like clockwork — supplies stocked, equipment working, meeting spaces ready, and overall space looking sharp.
- Partner with vendors (cleaning, food, maintenance, security) to maintain an excellent work environment.
- Manage office budgets, purchasing, and vendor contracts.
- Culture & Events
- Plan and execute a mix of in-office and around-the-city events — from team lunches to large-scale offsites.
- Develop creative, memorable experiences that foster connection and company culture.
- Partner with People and Leadership teams to align events with company milestones and team celebrations.
- Hospitality & Employee Experience
- Greet visitors and create a warm, welcoming environment for employees and guests.
- Be the go-to contact for SF-based employees for office needs, space reservations, local recommendations, and light tech help.
- Gather and share feedback to continually improve the workplace experience.
Basic IT & Tech Support
- Act as the first line of in-person IT support — assisting with Wi-Fi issues, conference room AV, printer setup, and basic laptop or monitor connections.
- Coordinate with our remote IT team for escalations and ensure tickets are logged and tracked.
- Maintain an organized inventory of office tech equipment and accessories.
- Special Projects
- Support onboarding for new SF-based hires, including desk setup and initial tech configuration.
- Lead small, high-impact projects that make our workplace more efficient, enjoyable, and inspiring.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in workplace operations, events, hospitality, or office management.
- Comfort with basic IT troubleshooting (you don’t need to be an engineer — just tech-savvy and resourceful).
- Proven track record of planning and executing events that engage employees and build community.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communicator who builds trust and rapport quickly.
- Proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Excited about being onsite and deeply involved in the heartbeat of the office.
Bonus Points For
- Experience in a startup or tech environment.
- Familiarity with workplace management tools and budgeting.
- Creative eye for space design and event themes.
