About Us

Vontive is a venture-backed Fintech lender that has built industry leading software to standardize the investment property mortgage and enable your neighborhood financial institution to offer this product on our rails. Until now, our engineering team has handled IT — but as we scale, the support load has grown enough that we’re ready for a dedicated IT professional.

This is a foundational role where you’ll take ownership of IT across the company. You’ll keep day-to-day technology running smoothly, manage devices and accounts, and work across teams to uncover and solve IT challenges before they become blockers.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be both hands-on and proactive — balancing employee support with building better processes and tools.

  • Device Management & Support
    • Manage and improve our Mac fleet with our MDM.
    • Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support for laptops, peripherals, and office network/printer issues.
    • Troubleshoot employee tech issues quickly and clearly.
  • SaaS & Account Administration
    • Administer Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other core SaaS tools.
    • Manage onboarding/offboarding and group membership updates.
    • Keep permissions and security settings current.
  • Knowledge Base & Documentation
    • Maintain internal IT documentation and runbooks.
    • Create easy-to-follow guides so employees can solve common issues on their own.
  • Security & Compliance Support
    • Coordinate quarterly access reviews and support compliance audits.
    • Run regular information security and phishing-awareness training sessions.
    • Flag potential security risks and work with engineering to address them.
  • Proactive Process & Improvement
    • Seek out IT pain points by talking with team leads and department heads.
    • Develop repeatable IT processes (onboarding checklists, support workflows).
    • Propose and implement small process or tooling changes that reduce friction and improve productivity.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4+ years of hands-on IT support or administration experience (startup or SaaS experience a plus).
  • Strong MacOS troubleshooting skills and familiarity with MDM platforms.
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration and day-to-day SaaS support.
  • Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi troubleshooting, DNS, printers).
  • Excellent communication skills — approachable, clear, and helpful.
  • Highly self-directed: comfortable creating your own roadmap, building relationships across the company, and finding ways to improve IT without waiting for tickets.

Nice to Have

  • Experience automating repetitive tasks (e.g., scripting for onboarding/offboarding or reporting).
  • Comfort running team trainings or security-awareness sessions.
  • Familiarity with SOC2 or other compliance frameworks.
